Labyrinth Update 5/25/20 - Frequently Asked Questions

Due to the current health crisis and DC government’s Orders to Close Non-Essential Businesses and Stay at Home, our sales floor is NOT CURRENTLY OPEN. We now offer contactess, front door pickup. All orders must be placed in advance. YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PLACE YOUR ORDER AT THE STORE.

We appreciate so much all the support that we are receiving from our amazing community. Our sales numbers are currently down about 65% from this time last year, but we are absolutely committed to continuing to pay all of our staff throughout this crisis. Your purchases and donations are helping us do that. Here is an update that will explain what we are currently doing and the new processes that we’ve implemented.

PLEASE BE PATIENT! In order to keep everyone safe, we are working with a skeleton crew, and it is taking a while to respond to e-mails and phone calls. It may be a couple days before we can respond. We are going as quickly as we can. If you do not hear from us within 48 hours of trying to contact us, please follow up.

CURRENT STAFF SCHEDULE: We currently have at least one or two people in the store Monday to Friday from 12pm to 8pm, and Saturday to Sunday from 10am to 6pm.

WEB STORE: We are thrilled that we were able to launch our new web store last month. It is much, much faster for us to process your order if you can checkout and pay on there. We are adding new items and better features every day. If you don’t see something, but think we might have it in stock, e-mail orders@labyrinthgameshop.com, and INCLUDE A PHONE NUMBER. We are also still selling MTG singles online.

GIFT CARDS AND DONATIONS: You can purchase gift cards online or donate to our teacher wishlist fund (which we’ve been using to help support families and kids in local shelters) or to help pay our staff during this difficult time.

PUZZLES: We finally have a decent inventory of puzzles back in stock! We are still waiting on some more orders from our vendors. ALL puzzles that we have are being posted on our new web store as soon as we can get them unpacked and into the system. Puzzles must be ordered online.

PICKUP AND SHIPPING OPTIONS: Currently, we are offering the following:

  • Pickup at Labyrinth Games & Puzzles (601 Pennsylvania Ave SE) - FREE
    Pickup is available Monday - Friday, 12pm - 8pm or Saturday - Sunday, 10am - 6pm. We will email you when your order is ready (usually within an hour). We will help one customer at a time at the front door from behind a plexiglass shield. Please be patient with us, wear a mask, and respect all posted signs and social distancing requirements.
  • USPS Priority Mail (anywhere in the US) - variable, or FREE for orders over $200
    We are just getting started with shipping. Please bear with us. It may take 2 or 3 days to process your order, but we are getting faster. We will ship everything by USPS Priority Mail with tracking. Any order over $200 qualifies for free shipping!

EVENTS: Many of our staff are staying home and are helping run virtual events. They have been very fun, and we are enjoying seeing people on Zoom. All events are being listed on our event calendar. Staff is also available to run private events. If you are interested in scheduling a private event, please contact us at team@labyrinthgameshop.com.
