Intro to RPGs: Microscope

Wednesday, January 30, 2019 - 6:00pm to 9:00pm

Labyrinth Games & Puzzles

645 Pennsylvania Ave SE
Washington, DC 20003

Every time a month has a 5th Wednesday, Labyrinth will dedicate one of its tables to a very special, new player friendly alternative system RPG encounter. Registration for each encounter will go live on the same day of the previous week's D&D adventure.

This month we will feature Microscope!

Microscope is a fractal role-playing game of epic histories by Ben Robbins.

Microscope works differently than some other role-playing games you might have played. You won’t have your own character. You won’t play the game in chronological order. You may know all about the future, but be surprised by the past. You’ll build the story from the outside in. You’ll decide the big picture, the grand scheme of history, and then burrow down and carve out the details.

It’s fractal gaming.

So think big: you have a massive chunk of history to play around in.

Recommended for players 16+ only.

The cost for this event is just $10.

Due to the nature of RPGs, please plan to arrive ten minutes before the starting time so that the game can begin promptly at 6pm. If you show up late, the adventure may begin without you.

Preregistration for this event has closed. Please call the store at 202-544-1059 if you have any questions.
